Catanzaro Lido is the coastal district of Catanzaro , located 8 km as the crow flies (16 km along the SP17) south of the city center extends for about 5 km along the Ionian coast. Originally called Marina di Catanzaro, together with the districts Orangery, Crow, Fortuna, Casciolino, Giovino and Baron 4 to form the Territorial District of Catanzaro. More than periphery is considered by the citizens of Catanzaro as a true center of the sea, "seaside resort" of Catanzaro. In the district there is a promenade of about 2 km along which are located numerous dining establishments, bars, nightclubs and hotels.
