Award winning journalist Mandy Matney co-hosts the show with other journalist Liz Farrell and attorney Eric Bland. Since a suspicious boat crash led to a murder investigation, Mandy Matney and Liz Farrell began to use their investigative journalism skills and began a podcast called Murdagh Murders. What is the podcast about?
The Cup of Justice podcast is a follow on from the successful Murdaugh Murders podcast. The concept is to use real life case examples to teach the listener all about the legal system in America. Using their journalist background and the help of new co-host Eric Bland’s experience as a top attorney, we get a real insight from true stories from high profile cases. Not only do they want to educate listeners, the podcast also dives deeper into some cases to investigate further and ensure no stone is left unturned. The Cup of Justice originally began as bonus episodes within the Murdaugh Murders series, these episodes would explain certain intricacies of the legal system that were being highlighted during the Murdaugh investigations. But with growing popularity, the team decided to make Cup of Justice a dedicated podcast series on its own.
